About the Author
Dr. Leo Troy is professor of Economics at Rutgers University, where he has been a faculty member for more than 40 years. Professor Troy is the recipient of numerous awards, including two from the National Science Foundation, two Fulbright grants, and many awards from private foundations. Ron C. Mittelhammer is Regents Professor of Economic Sciences and Statistics at Washington State University. He is the author of Mathematical Statistics for Economics and Business (1996), lead coauthor with George G. Judge and Douglas J. Miller of Econometric Foundations (Cambridge University Press, 2000), and the author of numerous book chapters and articles in refereed economics, statistics, and econometrics journals. Professor Mittelhammer's current research focuses on econometric theory for applications in a range of economics fields. With more than two decades of graduate-level teaching experience, his skill as a teacher of statistics and econometrics is documented by teaching evaluations and awards. He served as president of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association in 2009 10.

Fantastic Book

This is an excellent book on mathematical statistics. Although the treatment is less mathematical than if it were written for engineers or mathematicians, the gist of the topics is clearly written and the format is easy to follow. It covers all major topics needed for a firm understanding of mathematical statistics, and is a good background to econometric theory. I must admit that I did not know who the author was prior to reading this book, but he is one of the more decent writers out there who uses the right amount of mathematics to get the point across.

Excellent Prep for Econ PhD

I bought this book because I was worried about starting an Econ PhD program without any experience in mathematical statistics. I am so incredibly pleased with my purchase. The author clearly lays out the axiomatic theory of probability and then continues to mathematical statistics, using many examples drawn entirely from economics. It is so helpful to see the connection to the material where I will actually be using probability. I'm so glad that I bought this book instead of a more general approach to probability and statistics.

Eye opening

I have read and will retread this book to better understand the love of my life. It has shown me successes and failures in my relationship with my wife but ultimately it has given me hope to grow and be the man that she needs and wants.

GREAT overview of the INFJ heart & mind!!!

I typically don't write a review unless I either really love or really hate a product, and I don't think I've ever written a review for a book. However, this book is AMAZING.

I can only speak from a personal perspective (obviously) but I literally don't think there was one thing in this book that didn't describe me to a tee. I've read several books/articles/blogs on the INFJ personality and a lot of them have been really great, but none have come close to comparing to this book. I felt like The INFJ Heart managed to cover just about every aspect of life for the INFJ and went into just enough detail to be detailed and thorough, but short enough to not be so in depth that you had to reread a paragraph 20 times to actually grasp it.

For me, it validated so much of my life as well and helped give me words for things I haven't had before. My husband isn't a reader so most of the time I'll just summarize what I've learned to through whatever I've read and we'll talk about it. This is one book he WILL be reading though! Whether you're reading this for yourself or you're dating, engaged, just married, or have been married for years to someone who's an INFJ, this book is so informative and gives a great perspective on how and why the INFJ mind works like it does.

Couldn't recommend more! I haven't read any of Jennifer Soldner's other books, but after this one I'll definitely be checking them out!!!

This is a great book. It's short and sweet

This is a great book. It's short and sweet, but very informative. It's helped me to understand a little bit more about myself in relationships, and it's helped my boyfriend to understand as well. I would definitely recommend this to any INfJ or any significant other of an INFJ as well.
